New Tool Makes Federal Financing for Energy Projects More Accessible
More help finding the federal funding program that’s right for you is here! The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) has launched the Grid and Transmission Programs Conductor, a tool to help inform state, local, and tribal governments, utility and industry partners, and other stakeholders about a range of federal financing opportunities. DOE developed the tool to help these entities more easily identify which financing opportunities are right for them.
The Grid and Transmission Programs Conductor acts as a clearinghouse for DOE’s Grid Deployment Office’s transmission and grid resilience financing programs, as well as other DOE transmission and grid programs. Featuring an interactive tool called the Conductor Guide, this resource covers funding opportunities totaling billions of dollars in grants, loans, and other forms of financing, including programs from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, the Inflation Reduction Act, and other federal initiatives.
You can use the tool to find comprehensive information about available funding opportunities, application processes and timelines, and more. You can explore key programs like the Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships (GRIP) Program and the Transmission Siting and Economic Development (TSED) Grant Program.

Amy Kirschbaum began her career on Capitol Hill in the office of Congressman E. Clay Shaw, Jr. (FL). Upon leaving her post as legislative assistant in Congressman Shaw's office, Amy worked for the U.S. Congressional Sunbelt Caucus as a legislative assistant and later as the Legislative Director. In 1992, Amy moved to Oregon where she continued her career in public affairs at the Oregon Department of Transportation. Before joining Strategics Consulting, Amy was the Executive Director of the Ovarian Cancer Alliance of Oregon and SW Washington. Amy grew up in Broward County, FL, and earned a bachelor’s degree in public policy from Duke University.
