Strategics Consulting is delighted to announce that Shirley Speidell has joined our team, bringing over twenty-five years of distinguished experience in federal lobbying and Congressional staff work. Throughout her illustrious career, Shirley has adeptly represented a diverse range of clients including local governments, Indian tribes, and water districts, expertly navigating complex legislative landscapes. Her advocacy extends to key issues such as water infrastructure development, watershed and ecosystem restoration, transportation, and economic development. Shirley's deep understanding of policy-making processes and her ability to effectively lobby across various sectors including energy, environment, telecommunications, technology, and taxation will significantly enhance our capabilities at Strategics Consulting.
Shirley's legislative expertise is underscored by her experience on Capitol Hill, where she has worked with influential figures such as U.S. Senators Susan Collins (ME) and Robert Packwood (OR), and U.S. Representative Linda Smith (WA). She has served as professional staff for the U.S. House Committee on Science, Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, specializing in technology, environment, and energy issues, and has gained additional legislative experience in the Oregon State Senate. Shirley's educational background includes a B.A. in Business Economics from Willamette University, where she was an active leader as the president of the College Republicans and a columnist for the college newspaper. Her ongoing involvement with the Washington State Society, including a term as President from 1999 to 2002, highlights her leadership and commitment to public service. Shirley’s wealth of experience and leadership qualities make her a valuable addition to our team at Strategics Consulting.
