Shirley Speidell has 30 years of experience in federal lobbying and congressional staff work. Shirley has lobbied on behalf of local governments, Indian tribes, and water districts. Her lobbying efforts cover a wide range of issues including water infrastructure development, watershed and ecosystem restoration, transportation, economic development, energy, environment, telecommunications, technology, and taxation. Shirley's career on Capitol Hill included working for U.S. Senators Susan Collins (ME) and Robert Packwood (OR), and U.S. Representative Linda Smith (WA). Shirley served as professional staff for the U.S. House Committee on Science, Oversight and Investigations Subcommittee, specializing in technology, environment, and energy issues. She also worked in the Oregon State Senate. Shirley received her bachelor’s degree in business economics from Willamette University.
