U.S. Consumers Have a New Energy Savings Tool

U.S. Consumers Have a New Energy Savings Tool
The Department of Energy recently launched the Energy Savings Hub to help families and consumers reduce their energy costs. This online one-stop shop connects consumers with new clean energy tax credits and forthcoming rebates.
The DOE designed the tool specifically for homeowners, renters, and drivers who may be interested in updating home appliances, improving home energy use, or purchasing an electric vehicle. The Energy Savings Hub also provides free or low-cost tips and recommendations that can improve energy efficiency, reduce energy use, and save consumers money.
Through the Energy Savings Hub, consumers can access approximately $8.8 billion in incentives for home energy efficiency and electrification projects funded by the Inflation Reduction Act. By helping consumers upgrade to clean energy equipment, improve energy efficiency, and reduce indoor and outdoor air pollution, these home energy rebate programs will save households up to an estimated $1 billion each year, according to the DOE.
